The Entrance Band Record Label Debut at Infrasonic Sound

Thurston Moore stops by, new Console is up and running and oh so much more. . . Having recently inked a deal with Ecstatic Peace Records and Universal Motown, The Entrance Band are in the studio at Infrasonic Sound Recording tracking material for their label debut, set for release later this year.

The trio – which includes singer/guitarist Guy Blakeslee, drummer Derek James and bassist Paz Lenchantin have been working with Infrasonic’s Jeff Ehrenberg since mid-February on the as-yet-untitled album, a follow up to 2006’s “Prayer of Death.”

“Tracking the band altogether in the live room, just as they would perform on stage, is really capturing their overall energy very well,” says Ehrenberg. “Guy, Derek and Paz are locking together and playing off each other way tight.”

Co-founder of Ecstatic Peace Records, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, says, “The Entrance Band’s new music is the most alluring and, yes, entrancing vibe I’ve yet to experience in this new age. A soundtrack for the new groove.”

The band is set to unveil a series of live dates shortly, a pre-cursor to the forthcoming full-length.
