The SHE’S Release Debut Album with help from Women’s Audio Mission

As juniors in high school, The SHE’S have covered more musical ground than many of their (much older) counterparts. This month, the girls will release their debut album, Then It Starts To Feel Like Summer, which was produced, recorded and mixed by the stellar team at Women’s Audio Mission. Part Ronettes and part Beach Boys with a healthy dose of The Morning Benders and Best Coast, The SHE’S are taking lo-fi surf rock to new heights, all while balancing class and everything else that goes along with being a teenager.

Preserving Culture With Women’s Audio Mission

Off Central PR is pleased to be working with our newest client, Women’s Audio Mission. A non-profit organization based in San Francisco, Women’s Audio Mission (or WAM) is dedicated to the advancement of women in music production. Our first project with WAM was for the recent session of Mongolian Master Musicians, as profiled by Mix Magazine.

Meet The Americans :: Sophomore EP Set for November Release

R&B infused indie rock outfit The Americans will release their six-track, sophomore EP on November 16th as a follow up to their self-titled debut. The album was produced by lead singer / guitarist Charlie Klarsfeld and Sean Lennon, who also lends vocals to the forlorn yet optimistically sweet “Requiem” (which he produced). Each of the EP’s six tracks organically build upon The Americans’ debut EP, trading well-mapped lyrics for a more vulnerable, symbolic set and collaborating with musicians like Daniel Merriweather and Mr. Jpatt (of NYC production team, The Knocks) to round out their already robust lineup.

The Americans will play dates in select cities, including Boston, Los Angeles and, of course, New York in support of the EP release this fall. Additionally, the band’s first music video, for “Requiem,” will be available online come late September. Starring Klarsfeld, Lennon and the rest of The Americans, “Requiem” was directed by Jordan Galland and strings together vignettes depicting the suicidal tendencies of the video’s heroine in a stunningly vivid, Hal Ashby-inspired landscape.

Off Central PR is quite excited to be working with The Gentle Guest on the release of their upcoming full-length Cast Off Your Human Form. Part of the Amble Down Records family, this Eau Claire, WI band will take you back to a time when music was listened to best with a bottle of moonshine in your hand. Then again, when is it ever not appropriate to listen to music with a bottle of moonshine in your hand?

Set for release on July 20, a handful of tracks from Cast Off Your Human Form are now streaming on the band’s MySpace page.
