People Under the Stairs, the Los Angeles hip-hop duo of Double K (Michael Turner) and Thes One (Christopher Portugal) will play the El Rey Theatre on Saturday, November 19th, promoting their latest release, Highlighter. Doors open at 8pm, tickets are $18 via Ticketmaster. This is an all ages show.

Having just wrapped their west coast tour with hip hop prodigy Mac Miller, PUTS returns to their hometown of Los Angeles for this headlining performance and the official release of Highlighter, People Under the Stairs’ eighth studio album, set for release on double gatefold LP later this year.

Dorado Pkg congratulates Kissing Cousins for winning Dorado’s 2010 Record Store Day Album Cover printing giveaway! Dorado Pkg is a vinyl record jacket manufacturer providing affordable packaging solutions for independent labels, musicians and music distributors.

The raffle was hosted at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park on what turned out to be the most successful Record Store Day to date (as reported by Billboard). Kissing Cousins were among
the dozens of local indie labels and bands to enter for a chance to win free printing for an upcoming 7″, 10″ or 12″ release. As luck would have it, Heather Heywood and the rest of Kissing Cousins’ all-female lineup have a record in the works – the timing couldn’t be better.
