Founded in 2004 by partners Pete Lyman and Jeff Ehrenberg, Infrasonic Sound Recording Co. is a recording studio, mastering suite and record label collective located in East Los Angeles. Outfitted with the best in analog and digital recording gear, Infrasonic Sound Studios is a 2” 16/24 track classic studio, boasting a 2,000 square foot live tracking room. Infrasonic’s mastering suite was added in an adjacent building shortly after the studio opened its doors. Under the supervision of Pete Lyman, chief mastering engineer, the CD & vinyl mastering suite features top shelf analog equipment and a vintage Neumann VMS 66 lathe.
Clients of Infrasonic Recording & Mastering include No Age, Daniel Johnston, Shooter Jennings, People Under the Stairs, The Entrance Band, Qui, Sub Pop Records, Capitol Records and more. In 2007, Infrasonic established their boutique vinyl record label, first releasing a limited edition 7-inch from Qui, featuring David Yow of The Jesus Lizard. Infrasonic’s catalog also includes material from Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, The Starlite Desperation and Moonrats. For a complete discography, click here.
