People Under the Stairs Play the El Rey Theatre, Saturday November 19th

They’re back! People Under the Stairs, the Los Angeles hip-hop duo of Double K (Michael Turner) and Thes One (Christopher Portugal) will play the El Rey Theatre on Saturday, November 19th, promoting their latest release, Highlighter. Doors open at 8pm, tickets are $18 via Ticketmaster. This is an all ages show.

Having just wrapped their west coast tour with hip hop prodigy Mac Miller, PUTS returns to their hometown of Los Angeles for this headlining performance and the official release of Highlighter, People Under the Stairs’ eighth studio album, set for release on double gatefold LP later this year.

The SHE’S Release Debut Album with help from Women’s Audio Mission

As juniors in high school, The SHE’S have covered more musical ground than many of their (much older) counterparts. This month, the girls will release their debut album, Then It Starts To Feel Like Summer, which was produced, recorded and mixed by the stellar team at Women’s Audio Mission. Part Ronettes and part Beach Boys with a healthy dose of The Morning Benders and Best Coast, The SHE’S are taking lo-fi surf rock to new heights, all while balancing class and everything else that goes along with being a teenager.
